I am writing this letter on behalf of Mr. Joe Cortese, who I have known for over five years now. My first contact with Mr. Cortese was during the summer of 2003 when our high school was approached with an opportunity to install an artificial turf football stadium. Mr. Cortese was extremely professional, and more importantly dedicated to making a better situation for our student/athletes. He went above and beyond what could ever be expected with regards to our projects.
As you are probably aware, working with the bureaucracy of school district is sometimes a difficult and exhausting procedure. With our install being the first high school in this area back in 2003, our district was overly cautious. They threw every “curve ball” they could at us to dissuade us from installing this material. Mr. Cortese was thorough and professional throughout the entire ordeal and ultimately provided us what we were looking for. Though the district denied the opportunity to install the football field (for reasons they have since regretted), Mr. Cortese was able to accommodate our baseball program by installing a synthetic turf infield. The part of Mr. Cortese as a salesman that I loved the most was that he was there every step of the way. He was overseeing the installation at least four to five days a week! He takes pride in what he does, and in my mind that is why our product is so solid.
Following a successful install of the baseball field (which led to a C.I.F. championship that year), Mr. Cortese continued to assist us in installing our football stadium. Following the district’s enjoyment of how nice our baseball field was holding up, they decided to install the football field in 2006.
I know there are many companies out there, but none will give you the confidence and support than Mr. Cortese ’s. As an example, our pre-existing (not turf related) water line ruptured on the day of a baseball game. It left us with a low spot under the turf in the field of play. One call to Mr. Cortese, and a crew was out repairing it at no cost. The field was completed by game time, and we had no disruptions! That is service!
Another example of his pride was with regards to our local Little Leagues. They wanted to install fields (again after seeing ours), but could not afford the entire cost up front. Mr. Cortese immediately created a payment plan, and our Little Leaguers are now too, playing on the best.
